1.  What is a Glenbard North Music Booster?

Glenbard North Music Boosters is a non-profit group of parents and friends of the Glenbard North Music Department that support choir, orchestra and band activities. They help the Music Department with non-musical tasks to free up Mrs. Johnson’s, Mr. Garcia’s and Ms. Whisnant’s time so they can concentrate on teaching music to the students.

2.  How can I participate?

Offering time and energy during fundraising events, chaperoning for trips and activities, hosting concerts, helping distribute concert attire, keeping the performers cool and hydrated during the Fourth of July parade and transporting marching band equipment to and from Weber Field are just a few of the many ways one can participate. Please fill out the volunteer form, Glenbard North Music Booster Membership , with your interest to get involved.

3.  What are my membership options?

There are four levels of membership:

  1. PERFORMER — $25
    • Music Booster Membership only (no activity pass)
  2. SOLO — $40
    • Music Booster Membership
    • Individual Activity Pass which admits 1 Adult pass-holder (1 District 87 Activity card)
  3. ENSEMBLE — $60
    • Music Booster Membership
    • Family Activity Pass (2 District 87 Activity cards) which admits pass-holder/spouse, their parents and pass-holders children through 8th grade
  4. MAESTRO — $100

    • Music Booster Membership
    • Individual Activity Pass (1 card) or Family Activity Pass (2 cards)
    • Family Name listed in concert programs
    • Priority Seating at December Collage Concert

4.  What does the District 87 Activity card offer?

The purchase of a District 87 Activity Pass allows entrance to all Glenbard High Schools home athletic contests and music concerts excluding plays, musicals, state series events (IHSA tournaments) and other special tournaments or festivals.

5.  How do I become a member?

Please fill in the Volunteer/Membership and send it to Glenbard North.

6.  How much does it cost to go to a GN Music concert?

There are two ways to get into a concert:

  1. District 87 Activity Pass
    • Your activity pass will gain you access to the concert. See the Membership page for more information.
  2. Pay at the door
    • Adults – $3
    • Senior citizens – $2
    • Non-Glenbard North high school students – $2
    • Glenbard North students with their GN ID – free
    • Students 8th grade and younger – free

8. When are the meetings?

The meetings are held at 7:30PM on Tuesdays. Please see the calendar for details. Also watch for emails from Mrs. Johnson and Ms. Whisnant and the Posts on this website for meeting information.

9. What are Student Accounts?

When a student enrolls in a performing music course, they automatically receive a Student Account which is like a savings account. Fundraising profits are held in the Student Account. Contact our treasurer if you would like to check your student’s account.
